Mon père [le Rabbi Rachab] écrit dans l’un de ses maamarim : Les premiers ‘hassidim prirent la ferme résolution de s’abstenir de toute chose permise par la Torah mais pour laquelle ils éprouvaient un désir et une envie. C’est ainsi que l’on brise la passion.

Compilé par le Rabbi de Loubavitch, Rabbi Mena'hem Mendel Schneerson, de mémoire bénie, en 5703 (1942) à partir des discours et des lettres du sixième Rabbi, Rabbi Yossef Its'hak Schneerson, de mémoire bénie.
